The technology of cursing God

“Curse God and die”. These four words actually does suggest to us that the ability to curse God is an actual thing and can be done by man. At first glance one would think that this is something that is never going to be possible, but the fact that these words originate from the bible intimates us that man has the capacity to actually rain curses on God; only that the resultant effect would be death- physical and spiritual.

Curse God and die.

Like in my previous writings, this piece is directed to Christians, but more especially millennials. This is because of the stupendous amount of knowledge among these generation of Christians. So vast is this knowledge that people can sometimes ignorantly be dragged into the net of assuming God.

Job’s wife had told him to curse God and die, one would like to ask, what then does it mean to curse God? I’d like to state at this point that the pathway that leads to cursing God is slippery and precarious. It is not a just saying “I curse God”, it is seen in your actions. It is seen in when you assume omnipotence over your life. It is seen when you refuse to acknowledge the will of God over your life. It is seen when you begin to display an utter disregard for the person, supremacy, sovereignty and majesty of the King. This was what Job’s wife suggested to him.

In your office, you must understand that the day you start to change numbers all in a bid to enrich yourself, you have begun to curse God. The day you begin to desecrate the sanctity of your home, you have begun to rain curses on God. The day your love for other things begin to supercede your love for God and His will, you have begun to curse God. The day you begin to entertain suggestions that doing that wrong is not bad since everybody is doing it, you have begun to rain curses on God. One thing is certain, this path will only lead to death.

Because this way is unassuming and slippery, one must continually seek the help of the Holy Spirit to steer clear of this dangerous path. Make up your mind not to be caught in this web. It is real. It is dangerous. It is death.
